Muscat: The discovery was made during routine inspections of shops and commercial centers in the Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate. Authorities found the shop breaching multiple provisions of the Consumer Protection Law, including executive regulations and decisions issued by the Authority’s Chairman.

The confiscated items included products violating Decision No. 254/2015, which governs the trade of natural and manufactured herbs, plant extracts, and medical devices. Among the seized items were “Royal Honey” and “ETUMAX,” banned under Decision No. 743/2015, and “Cinema Shampoo,” which violated Article 21 of the Consumer Protection Law’s executive regulations.

Legal actions were promptly taken, and the shop was fined RO 1,300. The banned products were removed from circulation to protect public health and safety.

The Authority emphasized the importance of traders adhering to legal and regulatory frameworks and staying informed about market guidelines.
