Turkmenistan: The decision follows a recent air disaster in Kazakhstan and heightened concerns over airspace security in Russia.

Turkmenistan’s national carrier, in a statement on Thursday, confirmed that it would halt its scheduled flights between Ashgabat and Moscow for one month. The suspension, set to begin on December 30, comes after a tragic incident on Wednesday in which an Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan after it diverted away from an area in southern Russia where Moscow has repeatedly used air defence systems against Ukrainian attack drones.
