MUSCAT : Gulf Cooperation Council countries have launched an anti-dumping investigation into imports of uncoated writing and printing paper originating in or exported from China, India and Thailand, Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion said.
The investigation covers products classified under customs codes 480255, 480256 and 480257, according to the ministry’s announcement.
The probe follows the acceptance of a complaint by the GCC’s permanent committee responsible for tackling harmful practices in international trade. Its initiation was published in official bulletin No. 59 issued by the GCC Technical Secretariat for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade.
