MUSCAT: A total of 492 stranded Nepali citizens have been repatriated from Oman in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
Speaking to The Arabian Stories, Her Excellency Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, the Ambassador of Nepal said three flights from SalamAir took home the passengers from Oman.
“In the first flight we had 166 passengers, second flight had 147 passengers and third flight had 179 passengers,” Dhakal said.

“All the passengers took PCR negative certificate before boarding the flights,” she said.
There are around 20,000 Nepali citizens in Oman. According to the Ambassador few more flights will be scheduled based on demand. “We plan repatriation flights based on requests and if there is a demand certainly we will have flights to Nepal,” she informed.
“I am confident that the situation will be normal and the world economy will bounce back,” Dhakal added.
