Muscat: Aligned with its ‘Alizz Cares’ initiative Alizz Islamic Bank recently partnered with Links Oman on ‘The Village of Happiness’ event which was held under the auspices of H.H Sayyid Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, Vice-Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University and celebrated inclusivity on the International Day for Persons with Disabilities. Alizz Islamic Bank is unwavering in its commitment to fostering sustainable social development within the Sultanate of Oman. Guided by the overarching framework of ‘We Care,’ the Bank is on a mission to enhance the quality of life for all future generations.
Organised by Links Oman, The Village of Happiness is a Carnival targeted towards giving a safe space for people with special needs to attend a fun filled event for them and their families. The Village of Happiness is a vibrant and joyous celebration for the people with special needs in Oman. The carnival aims to provide a fun-filled and inclusive environment where people with special needs can enjoy various fun, educational and informative activities, creating lasting memories. From thrilling rides to entertaining performances, the carnival offered a wide range of attractions that catered to the diverse interests of more than 2,000 children affiliated with various associations and institutions serving children with special needs in Oman.
Alizz Islamic Bank has played a leading role in creating an environment to facilitate financial inclusivity and is dedicated to continuing to remove barriers and simplify access to financial services for all. The banks’ continuous efforts focus on raising financial awareness across various initiatives because it is imperative that today’s children and youth have a solid understanding of basic financial concepts and skills to navigate their way through a successful and sustainable future. Earlier this year the bank launched the ‘Aziz & Aziza’ series, a partnership with the Ministry of Finance’s National Program for Financial Sustainability and Financial Sector Development ‘Estidama’ and Oman’s First Children’s Magazine ‘Murshid’ that provides stories written in a fun and educational way that appeals to youngsters. The series encourages children to develop skills such as financial planning, setting goals and learn the value of saving and investment.
