Muscat: This represents a 3.3 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Data released by the Central Bank of Oman revealed that credit extended to the private sector rose by 2.8 percent during the same period, reaching RO 26.3 billion.
Non-financial companies accounted for the largest portion of this credit, with a 44.9 percent share, followed by the individual sector at 45.2 percent.
On the deposit side, the banking sector witnessed a significant increase of 11.6 percent, bringing the total deposits to RO 31.1 billion. Private sector deposits grew by 11.7 percent to RO 20.8 billion.

The individual sector held the largest share of private sector deposits, accounting for approximately 49.5 percent. Non-financial corporate and financial corporate sectors followed with shares of 30 percent and 17.9 percent, respectively
