Muscat: The Hamas movement has confirmed the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, the head of its political bureau. Israeli military officials reported that Sinwar was killed during a targeted operation in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday.
Earlier in a joint statement, spokespeople for the Israeli army and the domestic security agency Shin Bet detailed the operation that led to Sinwar’s death, marking a significant moment in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
