MUSCAT: The Council of Ministers meeting chaired by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday approved the allocation of an additional amount of RO 40 million within the current five-year plan to accelerate the construction of new schools.
“The decision comes following an increase in the volume of admissions in some governorates that are witnessing a steady population increase,” Oman News Agency said in a statement.
His Majesty also congratulated students on
the start of the new academic year. His Majesty also commended the efforts made by teachers to prepare for the new year.
