Coronavirus: Muttrah fish market to reopen on Thursday with strict social distancing

MUSCAT: After shuttering for nearly three months due to coronavirus outbreak, Muttrah fish and vegetable market will be reopened on Thursday, Muscat Municipality announced.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Muscat Municipality said strict safety measures will be taken for trading inside the market.

Municipality said those customers who visit the market are required to keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres, in addition to wearing face masks. “Those having temperature more than 37.5 will not be allowed to enter the market,” Municipality said.

“A maximum of only 30 percent of customers will be allowed to enter the fish market,” the statement added.
