SALALAH: Three people who risked crossing the flooded wadi during heavy rainfall in Salalah was arrested, Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on Sunday.
“Dhofar Governorate Police Command, has arrested three citizens who were crossing a wadi and putting themselves at risk. They were detained after they were rescued by the rescue teams and legal measures were taken against them,” ROP said in a statement.
According to the new law crossing overflowing wadis can attract three months jail,a fine of RO500.

Meanwhile, as per the latest weather report, heavy rainfall will continue in Dhofar Governorate during the next 24 hours associated with fresh to strong winds and flooding.
