MUSCAT: Oman has sufficient coronavirus (Covid-19) testing kits as the country has so far tested 36,000 people across the governorates, said Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Hosni, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health.
Speaking in an interview with Arabic daily Oman, Al Hosni said the Ministry of Health is using molecular test that can deliver results in 30-45 minutes. “That’s a rapid test we are doing which can deliver results faster compared to standard procedures which gives results in three and a half hours,” he said.
“We have not reached the peak and we cannot say if the numbers are going up or down till we pass the stage. The numbers are lesser because of the preventive measures we took,” he added.
