MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Monday issued a Royal Decree setting the days for official holidays for public and private sector establishments on the following occasions.
Islamic New Year: First Day of Muharram will be an official holiday.
Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) Birthday– 12thof Rabi-al-Awwal will be an official holiday.

Eid Al Adha holidays starts from 9thuntil 12thDhu al-Hijjah
If the first day of Eid (Eid Al Fitr and Eid Adha), falls on a weekend, then an extra-day will be compensated.
