The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that no cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been recorded in Dhofar governorate. The Ministry urged everyone to consult the official sources and stop paying attention to the rumours.

“There is no truth about what is being circulated on social media about the spread of coronavirus disease in Dhofar governorate. This information is incorrect and all legal measures will be taken against those spreading such rumours,” Ministry said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Oman has suspended Italian chattered flights to Salalah Airport for one month, the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) said on Sunday.

The decision comes following coronavirus outbreak in Italy where 34 people died and almost 1,700 people have been infected with the deadly virus.
