Muscat: His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri has asked companies operating water transport services to stop hiring expat workers as water truck drivers from April 30, 2020 onwards.
In a decision issues by the Minister on Thursday, said the water truck driver profession is now Omanised. This is part of Oman’s plans to give job opportunities to national workforce.
“As per the orders of the Minister, expats water truck drivers will now be replaced with Omanis as per the ministerial decision No ( 2004/ 216) from April 30, 2020 onwards, the statement added.
