Muscat: Oman Football Association (OFA) has confirmed that Branko Ivankovic will replace Erwin Koeman as the national team’s new football coach.
“We have come to an agreement with Mr. Ivankovic and he has accepted the offer to coach the national team,” said an official at OFA without revealing the details of the contract.
The Croatian had previously coached Al Ahli Saudi FC and had led Iran at the 2006 World Cup. The 65-year-old played for Varteks Varazdin for 12-years before coaching the same club in 1991.
