MUSCAT: North Al Batinah Municipality said the temporary closure, being carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities, is required to complete works under the Liwa Wilayat entrance development project.
The project includes upgrading the service road and adding a second lane to the roundabout entrance from the eastern side, according to the municipality.
The closure will take effect from the morning of Thursday, September 17, and is scheduled to remain in place for 10 days.
The municipality has urged motorists and other road users to follow the designated alternative routes shown on the traffic map and exercise caution while travelling through the affected area.
