MUSCAT : Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) said government digital services and systems that were temporarily disrupted have been restored, following coordination with government institutions and service providers.

In an update issued on Tuesday, the ministry said the affected government digital services and systems had resumed operations after technical teams completed work to restore the operational environment.

“The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology announces the resumption of government digital services and systems that had temporarily stopped,” the ministry said in its statement.

It added that coordination with government institutions and companies providing the services had helped stabilise the operational environment and return the affected services and systems to their normal operational efficiency.

The announcement follows a disruption reported on Monday, when the ministry said some digital services and systems across a number of government institutions were temporarily unavailable because of technical work required to restore and stabilise the operating environment.

The ministry had said some components were affected by a limited power outage, temporarily restricting access to or normal use of certain government digital services. The Unified Government Services Portal was among the services reported to have been temporarily unavailable.

At the time, specialised teams were working with government entities and service providers to restore the affected systems and verify their stability.
