MUSCAT: Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, His Excellency Anwar bin Hilal bin Hamad Al Jabri, has issued a ministerial decision appointing the chairman and members of the Elections Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).

Ministerial Decision No. 266/2026 names His Excellency Ghalib bin Saeed bin Majid Al Maamari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, as chairman of the committee.

The committee brings together officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, Financial Services Authority and the State Audit Institution.

Its members are Dr Shihab bin Ahmed bin Ahmed Al Jabri and First Adviser Dr Mahmoud bin Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Barashdi from the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs; Dr Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al Badi from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Judge Yousuf bin Mohammed bin Ali Al Balushi from the Financial Services Authority; and Judge Nasser bin Salim bin Sultan Al Kharousi and Engineer Yaqoub bin Salim bin Sulaiman Al Hatmi from the State Audit Institution.

The decision also appoints Judge Yousuf bin Salim bin Rashid Al Kiyumi, Senior Legal Researcher at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, as secretary of the committee.

Under the decision, the committee will exercise the powers assigned to it under the regulations governing the electoral committees of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The decision was issued pursuant to the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Law and the regulations governing the Chamber’s electoral committees.
