MUSCAT: Some government digital services and systems in Oman are experiencing temporary disruptions following a power outage that affected parts of their operating infrastructure, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said.

The ministry said the interruption had affected certain components of the operational environment supporting government institutions, temporarily limiting access to some digital services or preventing them from functioning normally.

It said the disruption was linked to technical work aimed at restoring and stabilising the operating environment after components were affected by the power outage.

The ministry said it was closely following restoration efforts in coordination with government institutions and companies providing the affected services.

Technical teams are working to restore services, verify the stability of the operating environment and ensure the continuity of digital government services, it added.

The ministry did not specify which government services were affected or provide a timeframe for their full restoration.
