Santiago: The credentials were presented during a meeting at the Presidential Palace in the Chilean capital, Santiago. President Kast, who assumed office on March 11, 2026, welcomed the Omani Ambassador and wished him success in his diplomatic duties.

The Chilean President also expressed hope that bilateral relations between Oman and Chile would witness further development and growth.

During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Al Balushi conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Kast, along with His Majesty’s wishes for his continued health and happiness and for further progress and prosperity for the people of Chile.

President Kast, in turn, asked the Ambassador to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan for continued good health, well-being and a long life.

He also wished the Omani people further development and prosperity under His Majesty’s leadership.
