MUSCAT – According to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), a total of 101,608 visitors arrived at Jabal Akhdar between January and the end of June 2026, compared with 89,780 visitors during the corresponding period in 2025.

Visitors from other Arab nationalities totalled 4,863, while international visitors from other foreign nationalities represented the largest segment, with 52,230 visitors recorded during the period.
The increase in visitor numbers was supported by tourism activities in the region, including the Spring Rose Season Festival 2026, held from late March to mid-April, which attracted visitors from Oman and abroad.
The annual rose season is a key attraction for Jabal Akhdar, showcasing the traditional craft of rose water distillation and adding diversity to the region’s tourism offerings, including nature, heritage, recreational and adventure tourism experiences.
The festival also highlights the traditional uses of Omani rose water in local products, perfumes, sweets and Omani coffee, contributing to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
Located in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, Jabal Akhdar remains one of Oman’s leading tourism destinations due to its mild summer climate, winter scenery, accommodation options and range of outdoor activities.
The mountain destination attracts visitors with activities such as hiking through valleys, exploring caves and mountain climbing, while also offering opportunities to experience local traditions and the cultural heritage of its villages.
