MUSCAT — Temperatures across several parts of Oman continued to rise on Friday, with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) reporting a high of 46.3°C in Mhout, marking an increase from Thursday’s highest recorded temperature of 45.2°C in Dima Wattayeen.
CAA meteorological data showed multiple regions recording temperatures above 44°C during the last 24 hours, reflecting intensifying summer heat conditions across the Sultanate.
Al Mudhaibi recorded 45.8°C, followed by Al Qabil at 45.5°C, while Bidiyah reached 44.9°C. Fahud registered 44.7°C and Nizwa recorded 44.6°C.

Other areas experiencing high temperatures included Muqshin, Izki and Mukhazina at 44.3°C each, Bahla at 44.2°C and Yaaloni at 44°C.
The latest readings indicate a noticeable increase compared to Thursday, when Dima Wattayeen recorded the highest temperature at 45.2°C, followed by Fahud at 44.9°C and Shinas at 44.6°C.
Authorities continue to advise the public to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours and to stay hydrated amid the rising temperatures.
