MUSCAT: The meeting explored the role of honorary consuls in supporting Oman’s friendly relations and cooperation with other countries, including opportunities to promote economic and trade partnerships and cultural and scientific exchanges.
His Excellency the Foreign Minister stressed the importance of continued engagement with honorary consuls and benefiting from their networks, relationships and expertise to strengthen human and cultural links between Oman and peoples and cultures around the world.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also organised an introductory programme for the honorary consuls highlighting Dhofar Governorate’s economic potential and investment opportunities across various sectors.
The honorary consuls attending the meeting included Boleta Senkienė (Lithuania), Ivo Vaněk (Czech Republic); Francisco Palau (Milan, Italy), Talal bin Salim Al Wahaibi (Istanbul, Türkiye), Pablo Caralps (Barcelona, Spain), Tommaso d’Errico (Tuscany and Emilia Romagna in Italy), Hussain bin Saif Al Harthy (Rwanda), Erdene Dorgnamjim (Mongolia), Mohammed Chand (Botswana) and Prakash Nair in Kerala, India.
The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Khalid bin Hashel Al Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
