MUSCAT : Oman’s Ministry of Labour has directed all private sector establishments in the Sultanate to pay employees’ May 2026 salaries in advance ahead of Eid Al Adha 1447 AH.
In a circular issued on Wednesday, the Ministry said all companies subject to the provisions of the Labour Law issued under Royal Decree No. 53/2023 must ensure that wages for the month of May are paid no later than Monday, May 25, 2026, corresponding to 8 Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH.
The Ministry stated that the move comes in light of the approaching Eid Al Adha holiday and is aimed at enabling employees to meet their financial and family commitments ahead of the festive period.

The circular applies to all private sector establishments operating in Oman under the Labour Law framework.
The Ministry of Labour urged employers to comply with the directive and complete salary transfers within the specified timeframe.
