MUSCAT : The message was received by His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a meeting on Sunday with Mauritanian Foreign Minister His Excellency Dr Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, who is visiting the Sultanate as a special envoy of the Mauritanian president.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed cooperation and partnership relations between the two brotherly countries and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties across various sectors, particularly in economic and investment fields, in a manner that serves mutual interests and meets the aspirations of both peoples.


The discussions also covered the latest regional and international developments, with both sides stressing the importance of supporting efforts aimed at containing tensions and promoting political solutions to reinforce security and peace in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department at Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mauritanian Ambassador to Oman His Excellency Mohamed Vall Ahmed, and several officials from both sides.
