ANKARA : The Omani delegation was led by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, while the Turkish side was headed by His Excellency Musa Kulaklıkaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye.
During the session, both sides reviewed ways to enhance cooperation in the political, diplomatic, economic and cultural fields. Discussions also covered the proposal to establish an Omani-Turkish Coordination Council aimed at boosting consultation and coordination between the two countries.


The proposed council is expected to strengthen partnerships in commercial, economic, investment, health and tourism sectors, while supporting development goals and common interests of both nations.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments, stressing the importance of de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy in resolving crises and promoting stability at both regional and global levels.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Munther bin Mahfoudh Al-Mundhiri, Head of the Europe Department, His Excellency Ambassador Saif bin Rashid Al-Jahouri, Oman’s Ambassador to Türkiye, along with several officials from both countries.
