MUSCAT – The agreement underscores PDO’s commitment to maximising hydrocarbon resource extraction, strengthening performance, and supporting local content development within Oman.
Hydraulic fracturing remains a key component of PDO’s operations, enabling the development of complex hydrocarbon reserves and improving overall production output. Under the contract, Abraj Energy Services will deploy advanced fracturing technologies, including enhanced proppant systems and gel-based solutions, to deliver high-efficiency results aligned with PDO’s production targets.

Dr. Aflah bin Said Al Hadhrami, Managing Director of PDO, said the agreement marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s asset value while reinforcing its role in developing local content and national expertise.
He pointed out that hydraulic fracturing is a critical pillar in unlocking Oman’s hydrocarbon potential, adding that the collaboration will support achieving production levels that balance efficiency with sustainability.
Al Hadhrami reaffirmed PDO’s commitment to empowering Omani companies to take a leading role in the energy sector, noting that the contract reflects ongoing efforts to enhance technical capabilities and improve competitiveness at both regional and international levels.
For his part, Eng. Saif bin Saeed Al Hamhami said the contract will expand the company’s operational scope and enable it to undertake advanced, large-scale hydraulic fracturing projects.
He added that the award reflects PDO’s confidence in Abraj Energy Services’ ability to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions, while reinforcing its position as a key national player in hydrocarbon extraction and supporting long-term growth in a competitive market.
