MUSCAT – Qatar’s Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani departed Oman on Thursday following a visit that included talks with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on escalating regional tensions and their impact on energy flows and the global economy, state media reported.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bid farewell to Sheikh Tamim at the Royal Airport after the visit, which Oman News Agency described as fraternal.
During their discussions, the two leaders reviewed the latest developments in the region and their implications for security, stability and economic interests, particularly risks to global trade and energy markets.

They stressed the need to reach a final agreement to resolve the ongoing crisis and called for intensified international efforts to safeguard maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of shipping and energy supplies
