MUSCAT – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Qatar’s Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held talks in Muscat on Thursday to discuss escalating regional developments and their implications for security, stability and economic interests, Oman News Agency said.
The two leaders met at Al Baraka Palace, where they reviewed the situation in the region and its impact on the safety of nations and their peoples, as well as on global energy supplies.
Both sides underlined the importance of reaching a final agreement to resolve the ongoing crisis and called for intensified international efforts to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the smooth flow of maritime and energy supplies.

In a separate bilateral meeting, His Majesty and the Emir discussed the strong fraternal ties between Oman and Qatar and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries.
They also exchanged views on efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability at both regional and international levels.
