MUSCAT – Each defendant was fined RO 300 and ordered to cover legal expenses, while the civil claim was referred to the competent court.
The case originated when the CPA in Muscat received a complaint that the supplier did not deliver the agreed-upon service, constituting a violation of Royal Decree No. 66/2014 and its executive regulations. The complaint was referred to the Public Prosecution, which subsequently forwarded the case to the court.
The Authority affirmed its ongoing role in monitoring supplier compliance and taking legal action against violations to protect consumers’ rights and ensure market transparency. Authorities said these measures support a safe and fair consumer environment, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 objectives to strengthen governance and safeguard rights.
