Muscat- Oman’s National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has urged mobile users in the governorates of Al Dhahirah and Musandam to switch their phones to automatic network selection, citing potential service disruptions.
In an advisory issued on Friday, authorities from the telecommunications sector warned that mobile network outages could occur in certain areas. Subscribers are advised to change their device settings from manual to automatic network selection to help ensure continued connectivity.
Officials said enabling automatic selection allows mobile devices to connect to any available network, maintaining communication services during interruptions affecting specific providers.
