36 rescued by Oman’s CDAA from flood-hit homes in Liwa

Emergency teams in North Al Batinah acted swiftly after heavy rainfall led to rising water levels in Liwa, trapping residents inside their homes.

MUSCAT : A total of 36 people were safely evacuated, with all reported to be in good health.

Rescue teams from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority in the Governorate of North Al Batinah responded promptly to a distress call reporting individuals trapped in several homes in the Wilayat of Liwa due to high levels of rainwater.

The teams carried out coordinated rescue operations, successfully evacuating 36 people from affected residences. Authorities confirmed that all those rescued are in good health, with no injuries reported.
