Oman’s CPA seizes 55 expired hair dye boxes in North Sharqiyah crackdown

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has seized 55 boxes of expired hair dye from a beauty salon in North Sharqiyah Governorate, after inspectors found the products were being used on customers.

MUSCAT : The operation, carried out by judicial officers from the Consumer Protection Department in Ibra, resulted in the confiscation of the expired cosmetics and the issuance of a violation report against the establishment.

Authorities said legal action was taken immediately, with the case referred to the Public Prosecution and subsequently to the Ibri Primary Court. The court convicted two defendants, imposed financial penalties, ordered the confiscation of the seized items, and required them to pay court costs.
