MUSCAT : His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, denounced in the strongest terms the aggression directed at facilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain that accommodate members of the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces participating in the Unified Maritime Operations Center under the GCC’s Unified Military Command.

HE Al-Budaiwi described the targeting of buildings housing naval forces from GCC member states as a hostile and unacceptable act, stressing that such actions contravene international laws and established norms. He said the attack reflects an escalating approach that threatens the security of the Gulf region.

The Secretary-General emphasized that the GCC countries remain united in the face of any threat against their security, armed forces, and critical infrastructure.

Reaffirming the Council’s collective stance, HE Al-Budaiwi expressed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar, and reiterated the GCC’s support for all measures taken by both nations to safeguard their sovereignty, protect their forces, and ensure the security of their vital facilities.
