Oslo: Explosions were heard in parts of Norway’s capital, causing minor damage to nearby buildings and vehicles, breaking windows and littering the streets with debris. Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported and that an embassy staff member was found shortly after the incident.

Emergency services and a bomb squad were quickly dispatched to the area as a precaution while police began to assess the situation. Norwegian police immediately closed nearby roads and restricted public access to the area as investigators began a detailed investigation of the explosion site.

Officials said they were working to determine the exact cause of the explosion and whether it was an intentional act or an accident. Security has been temporarily increased around diplomatic missions in the city while authorities examine surveillance camera footage and gather evidence. The U.S. Embassy is also cooperating with Norwegian authorities in the investigation.
