MUSCAT – Oman Airports said on Thursday that Muscat International Airport, Salalah Airport and Sohar Airport remain fully operational despite ongoing regional disruptions affecting air connectivity across parts of the Middle East.

In a notice issued to airline partners, the airport operator confirmed that all three airports continue to operate normally and remain open for business during the current period of regional uncertainty.

Oman Airports said the country’s aviation infrastructure is among the few in the region currently able to operate around the clock without slot constraints, allowing it to support airlines seeking operational flexibility, additional capacity or temporary adjustments to their networks.

The company said airlines interested in launching or expanding services to Muscat, Salalah or Sohar can submit slot requests through Airport Coordination Limited (ACL), which coordinates airport slot allocations.

“Oman Airports is well positioned to support airlines requiring operational flexibility, additional capacity or temporary network adjustments,” the statement said.

For new carriers considering operations to Oman, the company said it would work closely with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman to help facilitate and expedite regulatory approvals where possible.

The airport operator also highlighted Oman’s ability to function as an alternative entry point to the Gulf during the current disruption to regional air connectivity.

According to the statement, passengers arriving in Oman could continue their journeys to several Gulf destinations through onward land transport connections, offering an additional travel option for airlines and travellers affected by regional airspace restrictions.

Oman Airports added that its commercial and operational teams remain on standby to assist airline partners and discuss any operational requirements or opportunities that may arise during the current period.
