DOHA : In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said the extension will be processed automatically through approved electronic systems, without fees and without requiring applicants to visit service centres or submit additional requests.
The Ministry clarified that visa holders who incurred overstay violations prior to 28 February 2026 must first settle the prescribed reconciliation fine for the overstay period. Once the fine is paid, the extension and fee exemption will apply from the effective date.
The Ministry further affirmed that it will continue to monitor developments and take necessary measures to ensure the legal stability of residents and visitors. The also urged the public to remain indoors, limit movement to cases of absolute necessity, avoid windows and exposed areas, and comply with official instructions issued by competent authorities. Residents and visitors were advised to follow the Ministry’s official channels for further updates.
