MUSCAT : As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening youth participation in decision-making and fostering innovation, the Authority is inviting individuals interested in emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to submit ideas and initiatives that could contribute to the development of civil aviation.

The public consultation aims to empower young people to contribute innovative ideas that enhance operational efficiency, raise safety standards, improve passenger experience, and support the sustainability of the aviation sector, in line with national trends and Oman Vision 2040.

Submissions can be made through the official link https://t.co/mbCbZJUOWG or by scanning the designated QR code. The deadline for participation is March 2, 2026.

Through this consultation, the CAA aims to attract forward-thinking ideas from young innovators, examine opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence and emerging technologies across various aviation domains, and establish a foundation of proposals that can be further developed, studied, and potentially implemented in the future. The Authority also emphasised that meaningful youth engagement is essential to building a resilient and future-ready aviation industry.

Proposed areas of contribution include the application of artificial intelligence in aviation safety and risk management, the deployment of smart technologies in air traffic management and airport operations, and the use of AI-driven tools to enhance traveller experience. The consultation also encourages ideas focused on digital transformation and automation in operational services, innovative technologies that support environmental sustainability and emissions reduction, and the use of big data analytics to strengthen planning and decision-making processes. Participants are also welcome to submit any other creative technological concepts that could advance the civil aviation sector.
