GENEVA – Oman’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi said negotiations between Iran and the United States held in Geneva on Tuesday made tangible progress in defining general objectives and technical issues, describing the meetings as constructive.
According to a statement carried by the Oman News Agency, the minister said the talks between Iran and the United States achieved “good progress” regarding the overall framework and related technical matters.
The remarks came during a consultative meeting held prior to the negotiations with the U.S. President’s Special Envoy, and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, where a comprehensive reading of the context surrounding the discussions was presented.

The Omani minister said requirements for the success of the talks were examined from political and technical perspectives, expressing optimism that realistic and constructive approaches could enhance prospects for reaching understandings that serve the objectives of the negotiations.
He added that the tangible progress achieved on Tuesday could pave the way for the continuation of the talks in the near future.
