MUSCAT – The session was headed by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and by Her Excellency Allison Hooker, Undersecretary of the US State Department for Political Affairs.
Discussions focused on maximising benefits of the free trade agreement and increasing American investment in priority sectors for Oman, including the digital economy, technology, space, mining, logistics, aviation, and infrastructure.
The discussions also covered cooperation in education and culture, particularly academic and professional exchange programmes, as well as investment in innovation and scientific research.

Both sides exchanged views on regional and international issues, emphasising the importance of supporting peace, stability, and development.
During the dialogue, Oman announced its agreement to join the Artemis space agreements. A statement of cooperation was signed to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, celebrating the longstanding historical relations between the two countries. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed to establish partnership and cooperation between the US Embassy in Oman and the Oman American Business Center.
