MUSCAT — Parts of Oman have seen a sharp drop in temperatures, with Jebel Shams recording sub-zero readings during the ongoing winter season, according to local observations.
The cold snap has been most pronounced in high-altitude areas of the Al Hajar mountain range, while lower-lying regions experienced milder yet noticeably cooler conditions.
Authorities urged residents and motorists particularly those travelling through mountainous and interior areasto exercise caution during early morning and late-night hours, citing cold weather, frost formation and reduced visibility.
