Muscat: Bank Muscat, the leading financial institution in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced the opening of the lighting project of Al Shatti Sports and Cultural Team in the Wilayat of Al Mussanah. The Event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Rashid Mohamed Al Saadi, Chairman of Al Mussanah Sports Club, in the presence of Adnan Ahmed Al Balushi, Acting Regional Manager Batinah South, Bank Muscat, and a number of team members and invitees.
On this occasion, Adnan Ahmed Al Balushi, Acting Regional Manager Batinah South, Bank Muscat, said: “We are delighted to inaugurate the lighting project of Al Shatti Sports and Cultural Team, which was implemented by the Bank as part of its pioneering role in CSR. We appreciate the efforts and would like to congratulate the team’s management for the successful the implementation of this project. There is no doubt that the new field and facilities will greatly contribute to the team’s overall growth and success as well as bring about greater community bonding.”
Sabit Salim Al Ramadhani, Head of Al Shati Sports Team, said: “We are pleased with the completion of the lighting project as part of Bank Muscat’s Green Sports Programme. This initiative represents an important step in strengthening sports and community activities as the team’s field will host various sporting and social events while providing a supportive environment for developing young talents. We are committed to ensuring the facility serves the youth of the Wilayat through local activities and tournaments.”

Bank Muscat’s Green Sports programme is one of the leading CSR programs in Oman, which provides support to local sports teams as part of the bank’s efforts to develop sports infrastructure in Omani sports and provide green spaces throughout the Sultanate of Oman. The scope of support under the Green Sports programme includes installation of artificial turf or natural grass on sports fields, floodlighting and water-desalination systems. It is a matter of great encouragement that the Green Sports programme has so far benefitted 223 teams and over 77,000 team members across the Sultanate of Oman.
