The visit is of particular significance as it coincides with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Oman, a relationship rooted in centuries-old maritime, trade and cultural links.
During his stay, Modi is expected to hold high-level talks with Omani leadership and engage with the business community, with discussions likely to focus on trade, investment, energy, logistics and emerging areas of cooperation aligned with Oman’s Vision 2040 and India’s expanding global economic engagement.
Oman and India maintain close political, economic and people-to-people ties, supported by a large Indian expatriate community in the Sultanate and growing collaboration across strategic sectors. The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations and set the stage for the next phase of cooperation between the two countries.
