MUSCAT – Organized by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organisation, the two-day conference aims to exchange knowledge and experiences among health-sector professionals and contribute to improving healthcare systems across the Arab world.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al Manthari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Planning and Organization.

In his opening remarks, His Excellency highlighted the importance of the conference as a platform for experts and specialists to exchange ideas and perspectives. He noted that the event builds on nearly twenty-four years of institutional work focused on developing hospital management methodologies, bringing together international best practices to address a pivotal issue — strengthening partnerships between the government, private, and third sectors to support health systems and achieve sustainable development in healthcare.

His Excellency Dr. Nasser Al-Hatlan Al-Qahtani, Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization and Chairman of the Conference, also delivered a speech. He stated that Oman’s hosting of the 24th edition reflects the Ministry’s commitment to working with the Organization to sustain the conference’s success. He emphasized the importance of integrating the government, private, and third sectors to improve access to health services for all segments of society.

The conference featured three dialogue sessions. The first addressed integration between the governmental, private, and third sectors in achieving universal health coverage and responding to health emergencies. The second session focused on the financial sustainability of health projects, with experts discussing the significance and challenges of long-term funding. The third session examined mechanisms for enhancing cooperation and integration among the three sectors.
