Muscat: The newly completed projects span vital sectors including infrastructure, health, the economy, and food security, highlighting Oman’s strategic push toward sustainable growth and enhanced public services.
Among the most prominent initiatives is the polysilicon project in Sohar Free Zone, a major industrial milestone valued at RO 615 million. Also set for inauguration are the Al Ghaith Chemical Industries project at RO 25 million, the sugar refinery at Sohar Port worth RO 141.5 million, and the industrial bakery project in Khazaen Economic City in South Al Batinah at RO 25 million. Supporting Oman’s food security sector, the animal and fish feed production plant in Khazaen City, valued at RO 36 million, will also open its doors.
In addition, several development initiatives by OQ Group, totaling RO 38.5 million, will be launched across Oman. These include key road infrastructure projects such as the dual carriageway of the Southern National Highway in Al Wusta Governorate at RO 23.5 million, and National Highway 23 towards Ras Markaz, valued at RO 59.3 million.

Water security remains a core national priority, reflected in the inauguration of vital water service projects under Nama Water Services, amounting to RO 408 million across numerous governorates. These include phase two of the water transmission line upgrade in Al Dakhiliyah (RO 128.1 million), enhancements in North and South Al Batinah (RO 86 million), the establishment of new water networks in North Al Sharqiyah (RO 65.5 million), and upgraded transmission lines in South and North Al Sharqiyah at a cost of RO 128.4 million. These projects aim to boost system efficiency, elevate service quality, and expand water coverage nationwide.
In the healthcare sector, Oman will inaugurate several major projects designed to strengthen medical services and community welfare. These include Al Suwaiq Referral Hospital in North Al Batinah at RO 78.5 million, the state-of-the-art Central Public Health Laboratory valued at RO 30 million, and Khasab Referral Hospital in Musandam Governorate at RO 65.9 million. Together, these facilities will enhance diagnostic capabilities, improve patient care, and support the national healthcare system.
