NIZWA : The Social Development Department in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar organized a dialogue session titled “National Achievements and Enablers for Women” at the Higher Judicial Institute in the Wilayat of Nizwa.
Ahmed Sulaiman Al Toubi, Director of the Social Development Department in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar, stressed in a speech during the session that the empowerment of women and enhancing their participation in various fields represents one of the basic pillars in the comprehensive development process. He pointed out that Oman Vision 2040 emphasized providing a supportive environment for women that enhances their presence in the labour market and expands their contribution to decision-making.
He noted the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Development in developing services directed at women, implementing programs that contribute to their economic and social empowerment, in addition to supporting initiatives that enhance their role in building the family and society.

The session included several main themes, namely addressing legislation and policies supporting women, discussing women’s participation in the labor market and highlighting women and decision-making.
Collectively, the themes reviewed the progress achieved that contributes to enhancing women’s presence in various fields.
