MUSCAT – During the meeting, His Excellency Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Lourenço, along with His Majesty’s best wishes for the President’s good health and happiness, and for continued progress and prosperity for the friendly people of Angola.
President Lourenço, in turn, asked the Minister to convey his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty, expressing Angola’s keenness to expand cooperation and partnership with the Sultanate of Oman in service of the mutual interests of the two friendly nations and their peoples.
The meeting reviewed the growing relations between Oman and Angola, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, and investment, and discussed opportunities for cooperation in sectors such as energy, minerals, fisheries, transport, logistics, education, and training.

Both sides commended the positive trajectory of bilateral relations, especially following President Lourenço’s official visit to Oman in December 2024, and reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing coordination and exchanging expertise to support the achievement of sustainable development goals in both countries.
On the sidelines of the same celebrations, His Excellency Sayyid Badr also met with President Azali Assoumani of the Union of the Comoros.
During the meeting, the Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Assoumani, together with his wishes for the President’s good health and continued prosperity for the brotherly people of the Comoros.
President Assoumani expressed his appreciation for Oman’s steadfast support to the Comoros and praised the strong ties of cooperation and deep cultural bonds between the two countries. He also conveyed his greetings and kind wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, affirming his aspiration to further strengthen cooperation in areas that serve the common interests of both nations.
The meetings were attended by officials from Oman, Angola, and the Comoros.
