Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. 92/2025 on the promulgation of the Law on Rights of Persons with Disabilities, after presenting the same before the Council of Oman.
Article (1) states that the provisions of the Law on Rights of Persons with Disabilities, attached to this decree, shall be enforced.
Article (2) states that the Minister of Social Development shall issue the Executive Regulation of the attached law, as well as regulations and decisions necessary for the implementation of its provisions. Till such time, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be implemented with prejudice to the provisions of the attached law.

Article (3) cancels Royal Decree No. 63/2008 on the Welfare and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities Law. It also cancels all that contradicts the law attached to this decree or contravenes its provisions.
Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from the day following its date of publishing.
