MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has returned to the Sultanate of Oman after concluding a landmark two-day state visit to the Republic of Belarus, underscoring the Sultanate’s growing engagement with global partners and its commitment to broadening diplomatic and economic ties.
During the visit, His Majesty held extensive talks in Minsk with President Alexander Lukashenko at the Independence Palace. The discussions explored new avenues of cooperation in investment, trade, higher education, and technology transfer, aligning with Oman’s Vision 2040 priorities. Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing dialogue and mutual understanding between the two nations.
The talks culminated in an announcement that Oman and Belarus will soon open embassies in Muscat and Minsk — a significant step toward strengthening diplomatic representation and facilitating bilateral cooperation.
