Muscat: The mosque will rise on the waterfront of the Al Dahariz area in Salalah as part of the city’s development plan.
The signing ceremony was attended by His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, with the agreement formalized by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, and Engineer Yasser bin Saeed Al Barami, the project’s financier. The project will be executed by Innotek Oman, specialists in 3D printing construction, in partnership with Adi Architects.
H.E. Dr. Al Ghassani said the project embodies Dhofar’s vision of modern urban development rooted in Islamic identity while aligning with the latest global sustainability trends. He noted that 3D printing construction reduces material waste, accelerates project delivery, and integrates eco-friendly solutions, including natural lighting, renewable energy, and climate-suited local materials. The landscaping will feature plants resistant to salinity and coastal winds, enhancing resilience along the Dahariz coast.

Project financier Eng. Al Barami explained that the mosque’s spiral ribbon-inspired design will offer shaded walkways, tiered green spaces, and innovative features such as energy generation from motion, wind, and sunlight.
The oval-shaped prayer hall will be illuminated by a central skylight, while the minaret draws inspiration from the Omani sail and traditional incense burner, crowned by the crescent – blending Islamic symbolism with contemporary design.
